Running without D2SE or the launcher, upgraded from previous MXL version.

Same here with a fresh install with no plugy or else, I haven't found a solution yet.

So when using launcher instead of "Play" or "Install" there's "Restart" and it says vers. unknown. What am I doing wrong?

Hey, I've got the same error. They did say in the changelog that new XML core will not work on Mac. But I wonder if it can still run with Wine though. Have you found a solution yet?

Try setting Game.exe and DiabloII.exe to "run as admin" in their properties.
