I'm pretty sure that the maximum amount of characters you can have is defined as the maximum memory storage capacity of your computer, divided by your patience for scrolling through the list. Or in other words, no.


Anyway, I've been away for almost a year so I don't know what's changed, but I recently thought that I wanted to get back into the game, though I switched computers and so lost all my characters. Only... my new computer doesn't come with a disc drive. Is there an online source I can turn to to download the game, since I can't use my retail copy any more?

I think there is some limit of characters for sin war these days, like 16 or so, but not sure since I never had more than 8 at once.

As for d2, you can get installer from blizzard. Not sure if you need to do something to original cd-keys, but if you do, it can be done by registering your keyset to a battle.net account.
