Cold Sorc the secret melee sorc alternative farm oskill

Hey all, i've been testing for first time the cold sorc. After the rework the cold sorc feels not like a caster for me, more like a melee char.
Also i found pretty frustrating to farm with her own spells, the projectile dont move a inch.
Is there any good cold oskill i can use for farming? If possible from crafting/runewords or item, not from relic? Or also relic,but they are hard to find on ssf.

i am not sure if you even have tested that oskill. Frozen Orb is sadly a bad farming skill, mana hungry and does not work good at all...

Glacial Nova is decent imo but need kingdom of shadow throphy for 20% movement speed and good (sacred unique/runeword/honorfic/tiered unique) boots with 40%+ movement speed and CBF item. The farming speed with that spell is not that bad.

Anyway, cold is somewhat lacking in good oskill access. Out of the whole list:

• Avalanche is good, it's usable even without getting the 1250 spell focus bonus but you might find it awkward to aim before then.
• Glacial Nova is decent but dependent on the relic and the SSU.
• Voidstar is off a Samael drop so it's even less accessible than GN.
• Ice Bolt Nova from an orb and body armor craft is passable at best. Not Scosglen viable, from what I hear.
• Frozen Orb sucks.

Yeah, that was what i also found from my research and testing. I just hope that there is something that i overlook. Sadly, my intent was to start the new season with cold sorc, but i like farming too much and just doesn't fit.

One more question, out of your experience, can you suggest good sorc build that can farm comfy dunc/fautz without crazy ssu/umos and relics. Probably more ssf, craft and set items?
From what i read fire and light are also not in good posiotion after 2.0

For dunc and fauzt? Lightning is fine in just the set - Forked Lightning may be a bit better than Tempest without

but it's not awful. Mana might work well with the set too, I know people were playing it but I haven't heard much about it other than that it has a bit of trouble scaling into Scosglen.

Cold Sorc can farm both fauzt and dunc with cold sorc set. For Scosglen it's about 20-25 min per run with SSU/SU. It's by far not the fastest farmer but good for bossing/farming charms
