How do ethereal items work? Can I reroll an eth item as superior or with renewal oils and have it stay ethereal? Is it only worth using one if you plan to use an indestructible runeword? I have an ethereal gothic plate (no sockets but I assume that recipe works) that I want to turn into fireplate but I'm not sure how.

Ethereal items are bugged and can't have stats added or removed from it (mos or sockets). Unless it already has enough sockets and good ED, and you plan on using a runeword that can have jewels (indestructable), it's not worth using eth items usually.

can someone tell me what skill this is that instakills my pouncezon on cows? can it be avoided somehow or will I have to switch to bowzon to get to 121 lvl?

Phase bomb in an assassin uberskill. Phased enemies have reduced resistances and can break immunities, but if you deal weapon damage to a phased enemy, it deals 50k damage to you
