What does suck for casters is that those gear pieces require strength and dexterity, and none of those stats provide any benefit for a typical caster build. It's rather messy system where at first you have most of your points in STR/DEX, and after getting the charms you have 0 points in those stats & can finally stack your main stat such as energy.

I'd rather have caster gear require Energy or mana, but i don't think this can be done.

For many caster builds you can use the following strats.
- keep T3 until first charms
- Use Runewords in low req bases
- MO str/dex as needed for higher req items (use at least one Honorific on the lower equipment row aka Gloves , Belt, Boots)

this way I never had to put more than maybe 150 stat points into str/dex during progress...

Also, if what you want to equip provides a str/dex bonus that would allow you to wear it, you can save a couple high str/dex amulets/rings so you can equip your gear amd then switch back to your normal accessories.

You'd have to repeat the process every time you die or start a new game though

Most items aren't going to have that big of a difference in stats between t3 and t4. You can easily get away with using t3 in most cases, weapons being the main exception.

I like either Summon Barb or Sumodin (with Scourge) for Teganze. Both move fairly quickly through it with solid survivability.

I don't see any entrances in Tal's Chamber (Duriel's Chamber, same thing?).

Found it, guess it's moved several times:

Act 2, Island of Skartara Waypoint, run north -> Maggot Passage.
If you don't have waypoint: Act 2: Halls of the Dead Level 3 -> Kill Kethryes to open a portal to Tran Athulua, go north-east out of the amazon area, waypoint is on the east.

You go to the desert area in tran athula, on the top left - there is an entrace like the maggot lair. hf gl

yes, but they're rare. alvl 130+ areas (fauzt, vizjun, bremmtown, upper tier labyrinth)

Why does Tran Athula have such a low chance of dropping any Unique item, I thought it had a bias for it and LOTS of Amazons to kill?
