HechtHeftig wrote:well, yeah... I hate using many skills. Imho you only need 1 skill for groups and 1 for single targets. That's why I can't start liking sorc at all. You have to switch between 2 skills all the time due to immunities. You can't just use 1 strong skill that easily kills masses of enemies.

Let's just say I'm lazy when playing.

That's fine too, point of this whole topic is starting to come up. :)
I myself like the most skill-switching builds there are, just so I don't pass out when levelling or farming. It also really makes you feel like YOU are actually doing something.

I definitely get what you mean. When I started a twin fang assa in the previous patch, I always had to utilize everything in order to not die :D it Was really fun, but imo it‘s a bit too exhausting to do after work, when I just want to calm down, you know? :)

Z and X for main skill - avoiding those builds that require more than one skill as much as i can.
F1-F9 for buffs, summons, stances and teleports - convenient switching with mouse wheel.

Huh, seems I got a strange set up compared to you guys.
Depends on the build but,
F1 - Sacred armor/Fortress/Utility.
F2 - Innate skill/Summon
F3 - Teleport/Summon
F4 - Teleport/Summon
F5 Thru F8 - Buffs
Q - Single target attack/spell
E - Utility skill/Transformation (Super beast)/Single target spell
R - Main attack/Main spell
W - Switch weapons
Space - Item on ground view
Mouse 4 - TP (Up on side mouse button)
Mouse 5 - Edrym/Utility skill (Antimass)/Teleport

Middle finger always on F2, Ring finger on Potion slot 2, Pinky on Q, Index on R. Thumb on Space.

Of course, Median is the relaxing point of my day too. :)
Still, some skill-switching and little gimmicks on the build are required for me.

D2 doesn't even allow that many hotkeys. Where did you get those pics?

F1 - F6, z,x,c,d,f,e,mouse wheel up, mouse wheel down, m4 and m5(additional mouse buttons on the side of the mouse).

f3 - some kind of teleport move(like jitan's gate)
f4,f5,f2,f1 - buffs and summons, assigned in that order; I always put my most important buff on f4, old habit from clod
f6 - dark summ
e - summon edyrem(or void archon on necro)
mouse wheel - main attacks(or stances on barb)
m4 - typically some situational ability or minor summon(wolf companion on barb, death shards on nec, purify when needed)
m5 - town portal
rest depend on build
