well, i can't speak to the changes that mxl 2017 will bring, but atm it's still a viable option
basically you want to play nagisin until lvl 57 (or 59 if you want double mo bonus, but unless you're feeling lucky i'd save trying for that for endgame claw) when you can make

switch boots and gloves to dex crafts when you can. MO for -100 fire/light res (won't be possible in mxl2017 since -res orbs removed).

wyrd best for large crowds, atmg for single target. keep SR up.
