idk. most builds are at least somewhat viable so it rly depends on what i played last

1 bowzon is a nice starter for normal mode uber lvling until at least terror a3 with no significant gear requirements (tiered ama bows, double mo sol bow rw with -psn res gear. either of those bows moed with life steal on normal mode makes you invincible to nearly anytihing thats not a oneshot). i like this char for that its a fast starter that you can casually pick and play for a few hours just for fun and get a lot of stuff done in that time. in terms of firepower by no means does it match totem necromancers but regardless of that it has compareable killspeed and adds the challenge of being able to die if you dont pay attention, so it keeps you focused

2 dunno. some examples of what would be a possible choice: unholy caster pala (ubers), werewolf druid (farm), melee necro (farm), limpet assassin (uber), blood zon (uber). rly many chars work ok for later game, some kill faster some slower, some more fun some less, but overall i dont have an obvious preference

well, i can't speak to the changes that mxl 2017 will bring, but atm it's still a viable option :)

basically you want to play nagisin until lvl 57 (or 59 if you want double mo bonus, but unless you're feeling lucky i'd save trying for that for endgame claw) when you can make

put wyrd on rings/amu (enough to get slvl 43 for minimum timer). MO 60% ll on wep, max ED, rest in EWD (personal preference, you can survive with less). single hit from wyrd in vizjun will restore >1/3 hp :) switch boots and gloves to dex crafts when you can. MO for -100 fire/light res (won't be possible in mxl2017 since -res orbs removed).

That's basically it. from there just do whatever makes sense :) wyrd best for large crowds, atmg for single target. keep SR up.

hard to choose between around 60 builds played since i've returned , while also a big chunk of those were played and re played and rererererere-played since previous Median versions , some of them since median 2008 .

so if i should choose just between "Ultimative Only" played builds :

if considering the diversity , i'd pick either The Prophet (holy melee angel caller) or the Troll'Sin (lazy assassin) , maby the Storm (melee stormzon) can fit here too .


most of the builds mentioned in the previous posts here are not from Ultimative , they just got a bit changed in Ultimative (traprat , freezing gale caster duid , batstrike asassin , caster barb , limpet laser caster assassin , xbow necro , bowzon , lazydin , etc etc they all come from Laz era patches ) . but since people just played them in ultimative , they may be considered ultimative builds, i guess , even if it's not 100% correct to do so .

One of the builds i enjoyed the most so far has been a Tiefling ATMG/Flamefront Assassin that i played this ladder.

High damage and pretty insane survivability.

The only problem with the build is that it's rather expensive to make, and can require extensive amounts of crafting to make the weapon (Atmg + Flamefront Proc on claw)

By far xbow necro, it was a tad underrated back in the day and I recently played it again, fun as fuck

I think he went with atmg flamefront because it spawns on claws, letting him hit shadow refuge every so often
