There isn't a magical number you have to have.

aim for at least 200 without gimping your clear speed :wink:

200 without gimping yourself i think is generally considered the way to go. You'll see returns at this point on mf.

400 is the ideal (if you man handle that), anything above 400 only increase the chance for better items a little.
But if you can farm 2x+ faster at 200 MF, then it is better.

Leveled to 132 in duncraig this season with 150-300 mf (upgraded it slowly) and got absolutely zero drops worth mentioning

400 MF is only 20% more uniques than 200 MF, nowhere near double. To see how fast the effective diminishing returns are, see
