Act 1 Summary



Stats


I've put most of my points into vitality. Put ~10 point into str/dext to be able to wear gear.
Did not feel any risk yet , even against Andariel meteor attack.
Did my best to push fire res as high as possible and felt safe with 58% to go kill Andy.

Skill tree


Maxed light/fire traps and trap mastery.
Did put 1 point into crucifix / queen of blade / way of the phoenix / way of the spider to melee mobs that would come near me.

Works well for now this way.

Gear Improvements


Didn't find anything that really stands out. Still using the akara robe and will probably keep using it through act 2.
The shield helped me with fire res against Andariel and the moonwrap is also a nice starting find.

Act 2



Preparation


Before heading through act 2 , i've made some runewords to prepare for act 2 elemental attacks.
The bow is for the merc, the -15% lightning resistance will help me with lightning trap dmg.
( if merc -% applies .. please let me know if i'm wrong ! ).
The belt gives nice resist ( higher than moonwrap ) and the boots is for the 11% vitality.

That's not much but this is still more survivability
( +18 ele resist (except for cold and light +4 ) and 11% max life gave me +160 life.

Horror in the Sewer


After killing Andariel , they requested my help in the sands of Lut Gholein.
Before continuing my way, i've made some purchase in town to prepare myself to battle.
Then, I came accross this sewer, where we could hear a growling coming from deep inside ..
That's where I found Radament, guarded by packs of wolf and spiders.
I did not think evil could be that close to us ..

The Forgotten Staff


Back to the Town, I prepare myself for the real fight with Duriel.
To open the tomb where he lies, I need to find an old relic : The Staff of king.
This relic has been broken in 2 parts.
It's in the deep of a maggot lair in the middle of the desert that I found the first part

The Viper Temple


After a long walk in the desert, dying of thirst, I finally find the viper temple.
The second part lies here, burried in an old tomb that I need to find.

Duriel the Tomb Keeper


Now that I have in my possession the Staff of Kings, I can open the path to Duriel.
To do so, I Must first find my way through a mysterious place, lost in space and time.
The summoner was waiting for me, the last stand before Duriel's tomb.
But nothing can stop me from killing Mephisto's and Diablo's brother.
He died in the tomb he lived in.

I've decided to go with a2 merc then. More tanky and go forward to ennemies which let me trap from far away.

pierce from gear doesn't affect traps anyways, only hard points in the skills and a new claw su called Implement

Thanks thats 'nice' to know even if I hope pierce would work .. does that mean +% ele dmg does not work either ?
