Gems is only for socketing them in items and unsocketing runewords (oil of disjunc+3PGems), there're no crafting with gems like in cLoD.

When the new season drops, keep an eye out for streamers who plays Median for the first time. Ideally reading the docs should be the first thing they do but many of them makes it to nightmare without knowing that there are official docs. Or worse, I've seen a few get stuck in act4/5 normal because they were only using t1 blues and rares. Some sort of general introduction or direction pointing would be beneficial. Not necessarily a whole tutorial or anything like that but make sure that they at least knows where to find info about the game.

95% of the people playing this game doesn't seem to be able to read nor have the patience to learn the basics, considering the questions in short question thread and posts in general.
