Mind Flay Oskill Druid

Introduction

Mind Flay is a powerful Warlock Paladin spell that does lightning as well as physical damage. Druids are lucky enough to get the Oskill, and with a few specific pieces of gear, this build very strong.

Skills

Being an Oskill build, there are few talents in the tree specific to Mindflay or lightning damage in general. so it is beneficial to spec into a build that allows for maximum defensiveness as well as a meat shield to reduce your direct contact with enemies.

Compare/Contrast
While this build is strong, it is in no way a substitute for Mind Flay Paladin. Superbeast allows Paladins to reach a 5 frame cast speed as well as synergies with Slayer to produce more Mind Flay beams. It is mainly for fun or to play something new that you've not tried before.

This build has a similar feel/look to Stormclash which you get from

Disclaimer: I cannot promise that this build will outshine the Paladin version, nor do i think that it is particularly powerful compared to other druid seer builds. That being said... This build has cool looking gear that matches without dyes, and has a very fun play style. Plus its just plain cool ;)

Love the unique-ness of this build.

Here is an alternate way I was thinking you could play this build. Don't know if it would be any better?
- Take all the extra points out of Bloom/Growth/Harvest (since those don't benefit the build THAT much), and take Harvesters to 20 for the Symbiosis regen.
- For Uber skill take Survival Instinct for the Spell Focus and PR, both things this build struggles with. And leave symbiosis only at 1pt.
- No Purity/Meditation/Tenacity/Endurance, to save points for the next step.
- Take all the extra points just freed up and get to Tracking in the Hunter tree. This is a HUGE help with capping pierce and allows gear to be much more flexible.
- 70 pts needed for Tracking, so lots will be wasted but you will also max Bear Companion and Heart of the Pack. Bear is an awesome additional meatshield and HotP heal is nice for you and Harvesters. Plus Pathfinder is big move speed.

Let me know your thoughts on this!

That seems like a viable alternative. Unfortunately i built the druid at the tail end of the season and ran out of bellas for testing

-Growth/Bloom are there strictly to keep the harvesters alive and give you a huge boost to movement speed. Pathfinder would replace that entirely.
-Survival Instinct needs points to be worthwhile. It's almost better to skip an Uber skill entirely and get your 71 points to get Tracking

The bear build really becomes viable when you have a certain amount of skill points. at 135 you have 149 skill points. 71 to have tracking enabled, 27 in Barkskin, 30 in Spiritual Alignment plus 3 for prereqs and Pagan Rights. that leaves 18 points for symbiosis, mythal, survival instincts, and harvesters. I'd go 15 in Symbiosis for the avoid, 1 in mythal, and dump whatever is left in harvesters for regen or Survival Instincts for damage.

There are multiple versions of the bear build too. with the gear in the guide you get 170-180 pierce which is enough for Scosglen. So if you went full 71 point in Hunter Tree then you would NEED a good tesseract for the extra pierce.

I love the enthusiasm. I'll add some stuff as I get more advice/ideas

correct  I love Oskills though. It's a decent farmer and it has so much regen with bear that it might be decent at certain attrition style bosses or trophy farming
