It's easy to orb the req stats of basically all pre-endgame reqs. Don't be afraid to use mid/ late mid gear like it's disposable, because that's really what they are, disposable gear meant to help get you to 120. Endgame gear is a whole different ballpark.
Sorc cold skills don't interest me particularly, but I think they're fine the way they are (though you're right about the order). You have to consider that there are only so many skills Marco & team can make before they have to start duplicating skills and throwing a new visual onto it.
Sin traps are really good. I used to think they were bad, but I redid the build about a year ago and changed my mind. for limpet, just run by walls. You will find monsters, not to mention it has ridiculous range.
Take a minute to really look at the skills, and you'll see some serious attempt at variety. There's something here for every Diablo player, I guarantee it.
