Rampagos life max is 90k, right?
Minion resist are basically split. They have 2 max values. The first one comes from the skill itself. As soon as the skill has skilllevel 5 (no base points required) they get 75% resist (15% per level. However that isn't shown anywhere and I doubt it's shown in d2stats either). Now in addition to that you can get another +75% minion resist from items to get a total of 150% resist (50% resist in destruction). And that's pretty much the 2nd and only cap that you have to look out for. Any more minion resist won't be beneficial, but it won't hurt you either.
The rampagors max life is 90 k, yes. But the problem is: When you use Skeletal Flayers the rampagors get another 50% HP bonus on their base HP (Base HP is around 3-4 k depending on your skilllevel). Just to make sure you don't reach that value, you should let your rampagors get 86 k life at most. I also explained it
hereand made an excel table for that, which you can use calculate your minion HP to not reach the max value (the only important part are the rampagors though)
concerning your Merc: Are you farming in TA on dest? Because if yes, your merc dies easily there to the broadsides of the amazons (some yellow clouds that shoot many arrows in your direction). Watch out for those and move away/back if you see those arrows coming your way. Your merc occasionally moves away from the center of your minions and gets hit by it. That's why she's dieing.
But if you're farming in Fauztinville for the Ghal rune, you shouldn't have a problem to keep your merc alive. She's very safe there.
