Dont think so. Rare amu is better than beads for Spearzon. Beads is great for Java, the extra % dex helps reaching the max block so you dont have to worry about %dex jewels or extra % dex from gear, but rather focus on items that will drastically increase your dps. The poison damage from the 4-5 skills alone will overpass the potential magic damage bonus you'd get from beads. Laek on Pounce doesn't make much sense, hyena strike vs phy. immunity, both deadly and nourishing. Dyers eve on the other hand is a very good choice and could be slightly better than rare amu depending on your current gear and needs.

If you wanna max the potential of doom proc you really need to try peace sells rw + black hand sigil + black void + dyers eve. It's trully godly ;-)

Is there some limitation to the sets and SUs found in K3K and TA? From the guide, it sounds like certain items will never be found in those areas.

Most rare SU's and sets will drop less often than in areas like Duncraig. Its been like this since I remember playing the mod. You can farm all season for sets in K3k and never find set ancient armor for example or class specific weapon/armor. Same goes for TA (even tho TA now has even more ridiculous and terrible drop rate), you can farm all season and never find a class specific weapon/armor. As pouncezon you should never leave Duncraig. Thats your main and only farming spot. Best SET and SU drops anyway.

Sets: no limitations in K3K and TA but the chances to find a rare set (MNX/Community) is smaller. For that purpose Duncraig serves better because of sacred items drop bias.

SUs: Duncraig is overall better for SU hunting. If your char is underpowered, you can try farming two nearby rooms in the old Dunc map, just stack additional resists vs Assur or use Fire Elementals to lure him away.
