except hawks are actual summons and not missiles, that's the whole point of the skill as any AI they have an initial delay & when they are too far from you they will rather follow you instead of landing an attack. I get what you're saying, but hawks and SC are considerably different.

They can also be targeted I've noticed on my lower level necro (and you see how many chaos orbs spawn during the fight), but they don't actually have life cause they blow themselves up
