I don't think so. you can try /dnd [message] but that blocks all whispers and friend messages as well. try /d2notify , but I think this only works in the channel.

Locust hive are cheap so its significantly easier to get a lotteried one. They also have tons of mo space and arrow proc. Hanabigami is fine too. But use whatever you'd like.

I use Kraken specifically for fauzt/bremmtown, wolf stance works fine everywhere else. Lilith's is what I use also(although I don't care for reanimates)

Tantrum works fine for leveling in cows. They run straight into tantrum and die pretty fast. My only suggestion is to either use the rip modifier on a spare ring/amulet while leveling or throw any charms with reanimates into the cube/stash. Reanimates prevent cows from running at you which reduces kill speed. Remember that the lilith's legion helm has 2 reanimates.

is the level cap still 125 on single player? i havent noticed my xp bar moving at all since hitting 120

It's still 125. Because the patch is server-side, you won't see the xp bar move on your end.
But if you look at the actual experience number (in char sheet), you will see it increase
