where do I farm high runes??

Hey,

In the past there was the special box where u could find high runes for runewords by killing griswold in tristram in terror, now they was removed, some1 can point to me a good farm place for those runes? Im at act 1 terror difficulty

HIGH runes drop in Tamoe HIGH lands and Frigid HIGH lands.

Hatred Niklathak is the best place now.
He can drop rune to level 70+ and 3 unique.
You need max lightning and cold res to farm him. Alot of lightning monster and Niklathak have Hunting banshee (cold damage)

Just progress trough the game, they will drop.

Best place to farm high runes is terror Fautz

Terror Fautz can be a tough place for many builds, I would recommend progressing and return to terror fautz when you are 120, makes it a lot easier. And remember to get high def/block/avoid/DR and max res.

Also remember you can upgrade runes (2xsame rune) and also downgrade runes by cubing it. So if you find the highest rune 'On' you basically have all runes except the special runes. I think I found an On rune already before the end of terror.

I typically pull some high-quality runes from Terror runs on Act 4-5, if you are up to par gear-wise; you could try the Tran Athulua, or Kurast 3,000 BA as well. I've pulled a great deal of runes, and set pieces from Kurast 3k, a lot of low-quality trash; but also got Xar, No, On, Rha, etc.

guys, hes in a1 and he wants the runes now not after 120... idk about hatred nihlatak but on dest he drops lai runes and maybe on which is the highest rune before great runes, so probably he really drops well in hatred. id try nihlatak, the other answers are really not helping
