Immersion and Mana sweep say they do "Feedback damage". What type of damage is this?
Familiar does "Damage". Is that physical?
Does no-one know?
Immersion looks like a stream of bluish-white stars... could be lightning, cold, both... something else.

Hey Bud, Feedback damage is a certain type of Physical/Magical spell damage that can't be boosted, unless you put the enemy in the negative physical resistance zone. Same with Arcane torrent, Mana Sweep, and Immersion. They can't be boosted by any other means other than Gear that grants Mana. This makes Mana sorc VERY VERY Gear dependent. (But here's a hint, it's EPIC at UL farming.)
Ahhh thank you

So any +magic dmg or % magic dmg won't work. And the -enemy resist% MOs are gone. So if an item has +200 mana (or +energy) then it boost the total mana and that boosts the Feedback Damage?
I'm wondering if this is do-able build since Immersion got "greatly increased damage". Or is it only good in UL (Unformed Land?).
Thinking is:
Use Arcane Torrent (hits for % of current mana) to lower mana pool. Also any other skills that use mana in the usual way.
Use Antimass to heal, does Mana --> Life so it also lowers current mana by a lot.
Now that mana is low, use Immersion which is dmg based on & of Lost Mana.
Some of those may be one-point wonders, maybe just Antimass, not sure.
I can still have two other skill trees so I guess Frost (lots of 1-point wonders and meat shields) and... Lighning? Poison maybe. Both look possible but I might run out of skill points to smax more than a couple
Mana sorc was my first character this ladder, and has gotten me Natasha's from UL farming. (almost, just got lazy and missing a few primals)
I only used immersion for single target damage but I only one pointed it, so it was useless later on, otherwise I use Arcane torrent for mobs just after I use mana sweep, and I use Antimass to empty my mana pool to use Mana Sweep. Anti-mass>Mana Sweep>Arcane Torrent>Anti-mass. You are pretty much always trying to have a full mana pool, or an empty one. Never in-between. She does not do well vs Single target if you're only using arcane. It may be a idea to go Ice/Thunder for defense and T stone for single target damage.
You can do well with honorific gear with +50 to energy, Minion res to make the ice elemental's survive better... ALSO Huge tip, The melee tree's blades are a GREAT minion to dump points into. They can survive almost anything and are the most tanky minion in the entire game I believe.

is also an ammy you should strive for. As much mana and energy as possible!
When it comes down to it though, just experiment. You'll find a mixture that will fit you best.
