Support and Carry Characters

Hello,

My best friend and I spend a lot of time gaming together, especially on Dota 2 (it's a steam MOBA). I was curious if anyone had any advice for a "Support" & "Carry" type of characters.

What I'm looking for:

Support: Someone who buffs, heals, and assists a damage dealing character.

Carry: A character that can deal a ton of damage and who benefits a lot from the help of the support character.

Perfect Support character: Necro

For wdm skills:
Death Fury Totem
Howling totem
Burning Veil

For spells:
Skeletal Flayers Aura
Burning Veil

generel defense: Void Archon Aura

Plus hundrets of minions as meatshield, nice single target dmg due to frostclaw totem and nice trolling capacity when you summon a Veil King and it dies.

Other than that maybe barb with wolves and their aura plus some stances.

I was thinking a barbarian and a necromancer would be awesome. My friend really likes Fortress Barb and I love my "Dr. Strange Buff" that HechtHeftig's guide helped me to create.

Amazon and Assassins are out of the vote. Amazon is just TOO squishy, and Pouncezon is hard to keep up with. Assassins Traps are good, but doesn't really benefit from the necromancer enough. The dagger throwing version is... well it doesn't seem that great...

A summon barb is literally your best bet in this regard, I'm guessing.

Protector spirit for bloodlust (benefits both WDM and casters), nephalim spirit giving WDM tri-elemental damage, and then the stance support. I'm not too sure about EVERY gift of the wild option but the easily available one is an act 5 merc, for outside of items. If you really wanna go all out, can get triune charm and use void-xis weapon for 50% slow and support via fortress. Maybe aoe screnwides like thunderslam apply slow? I'm not exactly sure on the mechanics of slow being applied via non physical damage so someone will have to clarify on this one, but I don't think there's much to do after all this.

Support barb/Necro/sorc/pala/zon/druid/sin

Carry an abjurer merc/barb Merc/a1 Merc

For 2 players the best kind of support is a char that kills fast and makes tps, dead enemies deal no damage.

For rpgs/mobas it's ok to have a good team but for arpgs dps the only important thing, imagine a char giving you all possible buffs Vs a spear zon or harbringer wolf just jumping around killing everything.

Doesn't thunder God have a WDM conversion or is it 100% lightning? If it has any WDM, it will apply slow, elemental damage, and in striking procs

I suppose my idea doesn't exactly work how I imagined it. I just love relying on teammates and having them rely on me. 2 player in this game is weird. If not working toward a crazy hard to get charm, its a farm fest in which we both take separate paths and rush to meet up.

25% WDM to be exact so yes it COULD apply slow, but a slow every 15 seconds... Better off just being not support at this point lol.

@ OP for your latest post: Once you hit void/uldy and unless you're a fucking god of learning this game quick, you'll be relying on 2 players for those ubers to smoothen it out the transition. I jokingly think that those ubers are more like wow raids due to their difficulty.
