You know the old Turkish proverb: "A change-log a day keeps anarchy at bay."

First of all: nsarcasm can't be understand when you don't hear the correct pronounciatio. So ofc, if this is lacking you need some other method to express your opinion correctly. Else other people might misinterpret it and in the end the one who tried to be sarcastic is the fool. Turning your text blue is not that hard. It's 2 clicks and it greatly helps with expressing and understanding your opinion.

Is misinterpreting fun? No it only raises stupid discussions. So it basically increases spamming of unnecessary texts.

Are people trying to not offend other people? No, because sarcasm is used to make fun of something someone said, so when you're using sarcasm you're already prepared for people complaining about possibly offending. Those are people that are easily offended and should be avoided, but it will happen at some point Either way.

Is tagging sarcasm necessary? If you want people to understand you, yes. If you want to look like a fool, no.

So is it retarded to tag sarcasm? No, in fact it's the best thing you can do. Due to language not being the best way to express things (what I mean is: even when you say something it still can be interpreted differently depending on the person. So figuring out the ultimately correct way to express something is not a given at all times. See, even the necessity of me explaining what I said before is proof enough of that.) a sarcasm tag is only benefitting everyone.

Very detailed wall about very important topic mr hechheftig allow me to adress some of ur pointes XXXXD

>sarcasm can't be understood when you don't hear the correct pronunciation

In some cases sure, but not always, in fact if you browse the net a lot you can identify things like whether someone was sarcastic, the emotions behind sentences and more, just from reading because most of the things we write are following certain "rules" so to speak. To add to that, when you speak to one person for a very long time you can know what every word/smiley means precisely even if to anyone else the meaning would seem completely different

>Turning your text blue is not that hard
Not my point. Never said it's hard.

>Is misinterpreting fun? No it only raises stupid discussions.
Also not my point. Although, as you can see here, no one was misinterpreting anything yet we're still participating in a stupid discussion :D

>so when you're using sarcasm you're already prepared for people complaining about possibly offending.
Yeah so when you're not tagging it you're prepared for a little more people complaining about being possibly offended ;)
Actually when people use sarcasm, at least on reddit it seems like they're afraid to offend people, most of the time when they're sarcastic they add "/s OF COURSE HAHA" or some shit like that which makes everything they said look cringe and autistic, as if it was said by a person with 0 social skills (like me :D ) and it's not because they're autistic it's just because they're afraid to offend "fellow le edditors".

Tagging sarcasm might seem necessary to some, but to me it "ruins" it so to speak. Because when you see blue text, instead of reading it normally you read it like "SARCASM WARNING: <tekst>" idk maybe it's only me though, but usually I find it more funny when it's without the tag, except in the cases where it's too obvious sarcasm anyway.

to conclude this very important post XD I can understand when ppl use the /s or blue tekst in sentences where it's hard to identify sarcasm, but otherwise it makes it look cringe

i should act like a redditor now and add that it is my opinion and that every berson of our fellow world has different opinion blabla :DDD

Yes, its gonna be a ladder reset. Current ladder chars will be converted to non-ladder and will remain playable on server, sp chars will also stay valid.
