There's always the option to respec, so even if you fuck up royally or get bored of the build you can go to akara or do some terror cows for belladona pots(though fucking up unholy caster is almost impossible, it's a very simple build).

Is there any cap to how much MF you or your merc can have?

Why would you want to do that?

Eth items have 50% more Defense or damage. Just socket a jewel with indestructible on it in the item.

Not really. But you could only stack a certain amount without giving up kill speed which you're gonna want for faster farming. Probably having around 300-400% mf is solid for a good farming character. Too much mf and you'll run into diminishing returns so it's not worth it to stack say... 1,000% or something like that.

Does it mean that MF on merc stack with MF on character?

i have several really good eth SUs that i would like to use. i guess i'll make some indestructible jewels.
