Yes. Mercs can benefit from passives on items they're wearing as long as they don't say "<Character Class> Only." They just can't use oskills.

What is the best Fautz farmer? I've been having moderate success with melee sorc but it feels like every guide on the forum advertises as "not the best fautz farmer".
I just used umo on my Qarak's Will Giant Sword which has by default.
15% Ctc lvl 58 Pentagram on Melee Attack
25% Ctc lvl 34 Spike Nova on Melee Attack
10% Ctc lvl 36 Bloodlust when you Kill an Enemy
and umo was
1% Ctc lvl 47 Frozen Soul on Melee Attack
1% Ctc lvl 47 Bloodstar on Melee Attack
but i play about 1 hour now and those 2 never procced...
is there a cap for procs or what did i do wrong?

Wolf and Java, tho didnt had time yet to test them with 1.2 patch. Both will need for sure some tweaks depending on what kind of proc you will use and you want probably use

Magic weapon/armor + Mark of Infusion → return item as honorific
If your base item is not magic
Superior weapon/armor + Oil of Enhancement → reroll item as magic
If it is not white
Any weapon/armor + Catalyst of Destruction + rune → reroll item as superior quality + Catalyst of Destruction
