What kind of builds to teach you for a beginner, so that I can learn

You can check out several full character guides here -> viewforum.php?f=40
But personally i would recommend Summoner or Totem nec for beginners. Both are safe and easy, can take you up to destruction with fairly cheap gear.

There is a serious lack of documentation of what OSkills do, and even what some Class Skills do.

I would LOVE to be able to look up what a lot of these things do and figure out if its worth it or not. Some of it is on the Wiki, but it doesn't go into the nuances of the skill.

Actually even with gifs, explanations and calculators you can't really tell that. Testing it yourself tells you the most. Would be nice to have a test item, like +1 to all skills, life=1 defense=1, you die when you unequip it.

I got Cotw: Overpower, Manasweep, Arrowswarm, are these any good ?

i remember ranged build had some good old times, but now bow and java seem like at 2nd tier?

mana sweep is good , the other 2 are not .

arrowswarm could be awesome for bow sorceress with dervish of aranoch armor

it is , but as 1-pointer coming from COTW it doesn't help . it needs a lot of points in order to shoot more arrows
