Yes it does shrink if you have bad socketing skills :)

You should choose jewels which you want to socket very carefully. For example one of your jewels you has A, C, D, E modifiers, another one A, B, F, G, and the last one C, D, E, G. Of course it will be wiser to put 1st and 3rd jewels in one peace of gear, and leave the 2nd for another gear. Otherwise you'll have, let's say a body armor with +3 to dex, + 2 to str, + 30 to NRG, + 2 to vitalty, when it could have been with just NRG bonus without any other stats.

Is it possible (Or is there already) a full documentation on how each skill works?

The short description is nice in giving a brief overview, but I'm interested on how each skill deals its damage or interacts with other skills.

e,g: The Paladins Vessel of Retribution says it attacks targets within 3 yards, with a blast delay of 0.05 seconds and fires 5 blasts. Does this mean it fires 5 blasts every 0.05 seconds, for a total of 100 blasts in a second? Does it fire 1 blast every 0.05 second for a total of 5 blasts after 0.25 seconds then NOT fire for 1 second? Does it fire 1 blast at up to 5 potential targets every 0.05 seconds (upgraded by Equinox)?

The Amazons Sun Strike ability. It deals a listed amount of damage, but is a majority of the damage dealt when the missile impacts the target, or in the small flame trail that follows? What is the duration of the flame trail? What % of the listed damage is dealt every "tick"?

Does the Sorcs Hive poison damage override the Lorenado poison damage? If two Lorenadoes from the same cast impact the target, do their damages stack? What if they are different casts?
Also it says her Forked Lightning strikes multiple times. Does this mean the same beam can strike more than once over the beams duration, or does it just mean that if multiple beams from the same cast can strike the same target?

There isn't AFAIK. It would be possible but it's probably not worth the effort. Once you start understanding how d2 stuff works, you can make out most of the skill mechanics by using it and reading the short description. For everything else usually a couple posts in this thread suffice.

AFAIK VoR and VoJ cast up to their number of blasts to the creatures in their range. So in the case of VoR every 0.05 seconds up to 5 blasts will be casted. If there are less than 5 creatures in the 3 yard radius, less then 5 blasts will be cast; if there are more creatures than blasts, some creatures won't be hit. The number of potential blasts can be increased with the passive. Special note: if no holy or unholy skill is chosen, both bonuses of the passive apply (this is usually called a neutraldin build).

I'm pretty sure the arrows do damage on impact and the trail is just a nice gfx effect, I'm not 100% sure though.

Poison damage is special in many ways. You should definitely check here to understand it better.

Generally speaking when a skill is said to "hit multiple times" or "multihit" it means it releases missiles that have a next delay (ND) of 0.
ND is a missile property that starts a timer when a monster is hit. When the timer is active, that monster can't receive damage from the same kind of missile (or every missile? I'm not sure). A missile with ND equal to 0 can multihit, that is, hit more than once in a single frame.

Take hunting banshee: when it explodes it releases a nova made up of 64 missiles. In its first incarnation those missiles had a ND of 0, so the explosion could potentially deal 64 times the listed damage of the skill. Now hunting banshee's missiles have ND (I don't know the exact value, let's say it's 1 for the sake of this example); if a nova explodes on top of a monster, it'll be hit 64 times in a single frame, same as before, but after the first time it takes damage a timer that lasts 1 frame is started; it can't take damage from the same kind of missiles until the timer expires, so the other 63 missiles don't do damage. On the next frame, if it's still being hit by at least a missile, it'll take damage again, once, and so on.

Hello guys , i've been playing arround with the melee (lightning) amazon , i first tried going for high weapon damage and such items (i saw that you can equip a sword instead of the "required scepter") , then respec'd to %lighning spell damage gear , then respec'd to a combo with elementals as meatshield+ caster gear ( lighning ) to see how it works . all 3 versions where either slow (kill speed) or very annoying (Hammer of Zarae low AOE in narrow places as example) . the character is level 120 and has half the charms . i don't know what am i doing wrong...or maby that tree is just weak ? any toughts ? how do you guys play it ? i'm thinking about going on high weapon damage and use Stormblast (Thundercrack) as main attack .
