Thanks for the answers earlier! +1

I have one more regarding skills:

Paladin's Vindicate ability: Heals 100% life over 30 seconds, with a duration of 10 seconds. Does this mean that over 10 seconds I heal 33% of my total life? And does subsequent killings of enemies under the curse effect stack the healing, refresh the duration, or extend the duration?

It heals you for 33%, and +buff duration items only increase the duration the curse is active on the enemy.

formxl wrote:I have been playing pouncezon and melee necro for a while. The play-style is really simple - pounce or parasite everything. After some time playing become boring. I would like to play a char which would require more skills switching or to be more involved in the gameplay in general. One side requirement would be to be able to easily farm dest Nihlathak, because it was really difficult with melee nec (AoD wasn't that much helpful with outmanoeuvring 'thorn aura' monsters. Pouncezone was kind of OK when I ate >300 sigs, but I do not want to create another char which middle-game is painfull/boring for. Would sorceress light/something be feasible? I would appreciate all suggestions.

Dual-clawsin (blink, bloodbath and barrier strike add extra key haggling, even more so if you make it a batstriker), or some kind of hades gate sin (both probably fail nihlathak requirement).

Summoner-throw barb (more of a fun build).

Staff wielding summon-caster-totemancer with one active and one passive spell (like avalanche + meteor swarm/shadow avatar, pyroblast + singularity, or funeral pyre + slayer + meteor swarm etc...). Oskills add a lot of possible combinations.

Holy dragon pally can become key intense if you so desire (dragon oath - vindicate - terror strike from minefield rw - divine apparition - retaliate - you can even add burnout against big packs), and you can farm 500 sigs in one go if you can stomach it. You also have to time your teleports right so you don't get locked out from morph.

Definitely not sorc (manasorc might be an exception).

You want to pump dex until you hit at least 10-15k ar.
Then str until you get 85k merkabah damage (after that damage rolls over).
Then energy until you have ~400-500 with charms.
Rest into vit.

Resurrection will get you all basic charms easily, and most of the harder ones, then switch to plague for farming.

Thanks man, one last thing. Which Ressurection monsters should I aim for? I was thinking about them quill rats from late act5 or Akarat from Body of the Savior oskill.

Best are trap rats from A5 hands down (check ancient's way, and wsk 1-4). Remember to cast rapture on resurrects so they move faster. You still have to teleport now and then so they don't disappear by trailing behind.

Basilisks from A1 underground tunnels and A2 stony tomb (where fauzt is) spam spellbind (zon ennead skill), this is useful against some heroic shields, like demon lords in yshari (or yBaal). You could theoretically get rings or gloves that have 5% chance to reanimate those basilisks, that would be sick (if the item is decent). It's actually possible to get 24% chance (even more with hidden crafts) to reanimate these, that would keep the entire screen permanently spellbinded in a place like fauzt.

If you don't have access to trap rats, hesariarchs (spelling?) from stony tombs also work (they don't leave a body, so you have to resurrect air). The gargoyles there spam SoR as a primary attack.

Resurrected void archons and destroyer shamans don't have auras.

Body of the saviour is kinda meh damage wise.

Baal reanimate from Qor RW pala helm is great, they cast a screenwide rust storm (-75% defense and -20% velocity), and once they activate thundergod, you get free stun novas. Plus they're really fast so they can keep up.

One thing I never tested was if "mark of death" whatever ability of knight of death (or was it pestilence?) works against bosses. Once that red dot appears on your head, you die in one hit.

Has there ever been any inquiry about moving the character build guides from the old forum to this new one? Would be awesome to have all of them in one place, even if some of them are outdated. I guess I could copy/pasta the builds myself with permission of the original writers but I don't think it would look as good as the originals...

Thanks!
