Yes, Fire/Lightning has been considered, but you'd have to dig through many pages to find the explanation. In short: Lightning/Cold, transitioning into Fire/Lightning by clvl 90-120, had been the standard for Wraithsword/Bladestorm Melee Sorcs for a really long time. But it didn't work well with a Fusillade build b/c you didn't have enough skill points to max all the skills you wanted. You had to chose between damage and survivability. Ofc, that was when 121 (or 125 if you were crazy) was the clvl cap.

I do think with ele pen that we need to figure out alternate sources of VIT. I really like the royal circlet as spellblade option over Trang’s. I still need to figure out other slots you can sneak it in without sacrificing too much damage.
Question about cow level. Is it still the same recipe and did median lift the stupid stipulation that if you kill cow king you can no longer create portal?
Fire is also good for proc-based builds, as the extra Spell Damage also increases Elemental proc damage.
Just cube Wirt's Leg while in the Rogue Encamplent to open the portal. Killing the Cow King won't prevent you from coming back.
And wtf if "pen?" Seen a few ppl throw that term around recently.
