Hiya.
I already searched the forum for quite a bit but haven't found anything which is why I'm opening a thread.
To make it quick: I'm having massive FPS drops when fighting multiple monsters. I'm using Twin Fang Strike when surrounded by like 10-15 mobs and the FPS sometimes drop down to like 2-3. To make it worse, it's not just the game. My whole system slows down - even the music player starts lagging..
Obviously I tried different games, but it only happens with Median XL so far.
Also, I'm using the default 3dfxGlide settings, except I play in Fullscreen and have 'Desktop Resolution' activated.

System Specs:
i5 8600k @ 4GHz
GeForce GTX 1060
16GB DDR4 RAM
Game installed on SSD

Is this a known issue or did I fuck something up in the Glide settings? Any help is welcome. Cheers.

Its a d2 thing. Turning off ingame sound is the only way.

the game itself is laggy, sound helps, though that's not the only thing, I think the servers have a lot to do with the lag at times.

Well, turning off the sound actually eliminated all lag for me. Now I get stable FPS with no drops / slowdowns. Kinda weird, but it helps.

Hi I'm having the same problem but its constantly right when I load the game in full screen mode. It drops the fps down to basically 1 and absolutely not playable. It works fine in windowed mode but its too small to see anything. Any help?

As suggested above you could try disabling sounds (there's a check in the Launcher settings) or you could try changing some options in Glide's settings, sadly there's not an unique configuration that works flawlessly for all. If the whole point of playing in full screen is that the window is too small, then you can resize the window while in Glide video mode to a few preset parameters as the picture below shows:
► window resize
