Let's make this clear: Tantrumdin=Paladin+ Tantrum Oskill
I realize that you are pretty big noobie here, but 1 thing is sure, you don't mess with tantrum damage output. Especially if there are alot of goodie procs going along with it.
And there is no "best" guide, all of these guides are done very well and are understandable to anyone who reads them. And most important they are doable.
This build is centered on Tantrum Oskill, ofc it's going to be the main damage.

E: If you like Mind flay(lagfest) skill so much, then check caster paladin guide.

Okay, so I did the dragon egg roll yesterday, and then I started the process of farming more shrines again. Sadly, even after three full cubes of shrines (I think that equals about 1200 rolls) I only got tantrum twice and again no proc.

I notice my tantrumdin is VERY squishy, the def isn't as high as I would've wanted and his life is also pretty low. I cannot understand where I'm going wrong, but I must admit, I'm having trouble with casting vindicate every time. I have Tantrum on LMB and I use shift to stop my guy from walking and spread Tantrum, and then when I use vindicate I just click RMB where ever I need it to be.

TB doesn't seem to give so much def somehow even though it's maxed and I'm having trouble with completing the BRC so no blessed life for me yet. I use my trap rat to farm the shrines because the Tantrumdin isn't good enough yet.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have all of the early game gear including the sacred greaves nephilim RW and everything is fully MO'd (the greaves before I put in the rune ofc) and I socketed Jah runes in my Jitans for extra def. I prebuff with 8 to all skills elverfolk staff and TB is maxed. I got all the charms up to and including rathmas square and I still sit on only 156k def buffed.. Not even close to the 220k in early game gear

Here's a pic that I took of my gear, when I recorded the gameplay video. Compare the def values to yours. If they are close (remember TB gives a massive % bonus, so even small changes in base def can result in a large overall def change) then you need to complete some more ubers.

The def values are extremly similar. I'm starting to think this might be an issue of not enough +to all skills since in superbeast I sit on +169% spell damage with 7 points, instead of 230% and SoD is at 1.3 sec delay with 7 points, instead of 1.1 sec delay. This is strange since I completed all the minigames, level challenges, upgraded the class charm etc. Also, blessed life only gives 36% DR with 14 points and correct me if I'm wrong, but this only increases with hard points? Maybe I need to complete more ubers but the gap between my stats and yours seem pretty big. Thanks for taking your time to help, it's greatly appreciated!

Yes the next ubers you are about to do give a lot of +max skills. Also I am using a +5 lucion's soulstone there, so that coupled with the other charms is at least another +10 pally skills you will be getting. Also when you factor in the 5% DR trophy from tran athulua + 10% DR on jitans + 36% on blessed life you get your DR cap.

Just keep progressing through the ubers, there isn't much holding you back apart from your own experience with them.

The beauty of this build is that it is extremely potent. All the charms you see in my inventory were obtained solo, with the gear shown and I had to respec only for 2 bosses (astrogha, wretched hive). So while this particular build does not hold your hand as much as something noob friendly - like say traprat - it rewards you massively more for playing well. It allows you to complete the above content (and more that I did not wan't to do before posting the video) with this dirt cheap gear and virtually no respecs. Very few other builds can achieve the same.

Tip for people rolling tantrum bows: You MUST have your Bow have item level 99, if you don't know if it is. grab one that you will be crafting on, reroll it down with Cataslyst of Destruction + Rune, then 2x Oil of Enchantment and 2x more with Runes to get it to Rare (yellow)

Now do the dragon egg in Act 2 and reroll it once with a Scroll of Town Portal, that will get it to item level 99, without item level 99 you will roll Tantrum significantly less and it will be impossible to get CtC Arrow.

One week further, have two bows rolled with the dragon in A2 Dest.. Crafted hundreds of shrines, no CTC knife NOR Arrow on the bow together with tantrum, I did it slowly and checked well every time to be sure I wouldn't miss out. I ragequitted my tantrumdin for now and continued on with WereWolf. Maybe when I get tired of the wolf I'll come back to the pally to try and craft some more bows

It has been at least 2 years since haven't played median xl , now that i don't feel like playing anything else i recently started from fresh. Currently using your guide and playing tantrumdin, act 3 terror and i must say its going pretty good. I have already finished L2 challenge, level 78 atm. Got few questions i have to ask:

1) You haven't mentioned about mercenaries. Are they any useful or just gold dump? Even if they can give little help which mercenary do you reccommend and how shou i gear them?

2) There were some complications where some people used more than 1500 rerolls and still havent gotten a decent tantrum bow. If item level is the case here, should i craft on ilvl 99 or lower ilvl bow for less affix range.

3) If i am not using a runeword item do i still use the mentioned jewels(Flat life/FHR/Resist) for sockets?

4) Not directly related to the guide but where do you reccomend to farm arcane crystals and stat signets?
