Marco is away on holiday atm. He already posted that development on the next version will resume sometime in March, as certain parts of the site need finishing before then. Basically no news is good news right now.

So, since many people assume 2016 is "just another patch" and "might get released before 2016", this is the partial list of changes.

Here we go. SPOILER ALERT.

- a billion bugfixes
- drop rates changes
- performance gain (lag reduction on skills, reduction of "when damaged" procs on monsters, overall stats/numbers going down)
- experience reworks (higher exp gain on dest uberquests, for levels 121-125 on realm)
- big mystic orbs rework
- uberquest cheese fixes (chronofield anyone?)
- visual rework on all skills (improvements and lag reduction)
- damage rework on all skills (as necessary)
- mechanic rework on all skills (as necessary)
- mana rework on all skills (all)
- next delay rework on all skills (as necessary)
- new skills, replacing some of the old skills (which might become oskills)
- rebalanced/improved crafted items
- complete rework on charms (big decrease in stats) and some items (there is a topic about this)
- rebalanced all monster stats on all difficulties (mainly on destruction, to match weaker charms)
- uldyssian end battle / brachyceran full reworks
- void / startled witch difficulty tweaks
- some less relevant uberquests rework, such as azmodan & belial
- around 60 new realm runewords
- new item tier beyond sacred (to confirm)
- 1 or 2 new uberquests
- removal of annoying bush in duncraig

@Naabaanit: nothing from the sigma subforum is coming to MXL 2016.

How about buffing all the other oskills to avalanche level? That way we wouldn't have 27+ useless oskills that nobody ever uses.

A good example here is stormfront. You have this awesome visually appealing thor-son of odin thundergod shit going on.

At L36 it deals 1-575 damage, firing three bolts (but only deals damage once due to ND). That's 287 average damage, requires a crafted staff, and is only boosted by +1 to all skills.

Meanwhile, mind flay deals 1869 average damage at L48, fires more bolts, doesn't require a staff, and is boosted by class skill levels.

You could literally make stormfront fire 38 bolts to 100 yards and it still wouldn't be OP.
