Short Questions Thread

Anyone have a fix if someone is experiencing no sound in fullscreen mode? Everything works fine in windowed mode, but I can not stand to play games in windowed mode. The no sound issue seems to be a fullscreen only thing.

What are good "trash" shrines to use when you just want to make throw-away weapons?

I'm crafting for Iron Golem (who (or I) can die any time), but I don't want to use the more valuable shrines.

Maybe Intimidating, Spiritual, Hidden and the % minion stats shrines (I just use 1 point in minions).

You could make it out of sangreal runeword for demon blood aura

I currently have a bunch of sacred rare ivl99 two handed weapons because they can roll like 300-375 max dmg, although I don't know if that does much to an Iron Golems damage output. I've at least seen an increase in killing speed when compared to just making one from an armor piece

I had the Blood Aura on my sights but haven't had trouble with surviving yet so I've been looking for ways to beef up killing speed instead (Miasma and Slow Target seem pretty defensively good too).

I asked about the Shrines because I feel hesitant to use any of the "good" ones. I keep thinking I need them for later (no I won't I always hoard too much).

This recent poll might help determine which ones are rarely used so could be considered trash shrines I guess.

Looks like Magical, Sacred, and Trinity are the least used. Followed closely by Hidden and Ornate.

Of course one man's garbage is another man's treasure sometimes so maybe to you some of those might not be considered garbage. One thing's for sure though, don't use any Abandoned shrines as junk.

I just hit A5 on normal and am running a 2H barb. The only unique I have is a T2 platemail, rest is rare. I have close to 4 crystals, and I've been saving a few bits of superior gear to turn into TUs. Should I just go back and kill Mephisto a bit to get uniques? I saw that bit of advice somewhere else but I guess it just feels weird to go back in the story (I never went past normal difficulty playing vanilla).

I'm thinking that not getting TUs may have been why I died so much to Diablo and why I keep dying a lot to Thunderbolts in A5.

If you're able to farm Nihlathak in act 5 that's going to be your best bet to gather TUs. He's guaranteed to drop 3 every time. Kill him, rinse and repeat. And if you don't find any of the TUs you need that way, you can turn all the ones you do find into crystals and make your own TUs with the cube recipe. Of course you need to have the corresponding base item to cube but those are usually easy to find or shop for.

I've made 85 andy + duriel norm runs to get 2 TU per game ( they drop both 1 ). Sometimes the guy before duriel drops one too.
About 3-4 mins per games. So 4-5h hour farm. This made me able to create 5 TU , rerolled one 3 times. Upgraded them to T2.
Gave me : Full res 80/80/78/78 , 2.5k life , dmg from 150 to 550 at level +- 40.

This can give you an idea.

Hi all, for the Sacred items, can the base be obtained through gambling or strictly loot from mobs etc? and upgrading them is the same as the TU? Thanks!

I saw somewhere on the forum something mentionning an armory .. a way to show our character on the forum ? ... where can I find that ? .. Thank you !
