Weapon damage

To expand a little bit: skills with conversion work on the total physical damage you deal. This includes the bonus from EWD on gear, EWD from strength, bloodlust etc. but also other phys dmg modifiers like deadly strike.

So, a stormblast hit is converting my whole physical damage in lighting. What happens with the elemental damage?? Does the hit carry my elemental damage also?? or is it just delivering the converted physical?? and my elemental damage can only be carried on projectiles that may proc from my other skills or items?? or??


@fumbles i remember you had a barbarian playing with Ancient's hand + 2xQarak's + all in fire element stuff. How were you fighting against fire immunes??

Correct.

It gets added (multiplied by skill WDM modifier ofc) separately. It does not take part in the conversion.

Your elemental damage will be carried by all weapon damage skills.

Example: your barb has 100 physical damage on normal attack and a helm that adds 20 fire damage. Total damage per attack = 120. Stormblast has a 1/2 WDM modifier and converts 100% physical to lightning. So what happens when you stormblast? It converts the physical to lightning and multiplies it by the modifier and adds the ele dmg also multiplied by the modifier. So you will end up with 50 light + 10 fire dmg per hit (and 0 phys).

And, can procs proc procs?

No.

Depends on the proc. On striking can proc itself. Example:
50% level 1 arrow on striking
The first bow shot has a 50% chance of procing that.
If the proc is successful, that proc has 50% chance of procing the proc. And so forth. Of course it isn't limited to only themselves. Procs can proc other types of procs.
