Does it matter much what base item i use for runeword(any armor), like full plate mail/gothic plate etc? And sacred versions are even better?

any armor is any body armor. yes sacred is better fi you want more defense, otherwise some builds don't need defense or can't afford the strength requirement, so a tier 4 is fine.

The base matters but only in terms of base defense and what the stat requirements are. If you don't put any points into strength, then it might be hard for you to be able to equip a runeword made in an Ancient Armor. And yes, sacred items have higher base damage/defense.

Is there any other way to improve survivability in dungraig? (exept for massive HP pool)
Dodge doesnt seem to work?
I play HC and some barrels just seem to explode right away so i need some more ways to resist 2-3 explosions without needing 21k life.

Barres are 7k magic dmg and other than hp/magic res no.
