Gamble prices?

Hi all
Instead of registering to the old forum, I think I should use this but feel free to yell at me if the forum is still not ready! (I read that users can use both, though.) :bounce:

Anyway, Median XL modified all the prices of the items. That's fine, easy .txt changes. But how can I modify the gamble prices? The gamble cost columns do nothing at all (in weapon and armors)
I guess it's code editing? I'm under 1.13 (c I think, if that matters)

Is there anyway I could use these columns or what? thanks (-:

Have you tried the gamble cost columns in misc.txt, weapon.txt or armor.txt? I searched gambling in Phrozen Keep and maybe this link will help:

Hi
I tried these things:

a) using the gamble cost columns in weapons.txt. Does nothing at all :(
b) reducing the general "cost" column, still the prices are way too high and I can't modify them as I want (in short: really bad solution)

What I didn't try is code editing so I can enable the gamble columns
From this post
http://d2mods.info/forum/viewtopic.php?p=279736#p279736
by Nefarius I found out that you can actually use the gamble cost columns (last part of the message).
But these codes are for 1.11 and they won't work for 1.13

Damn I wonder why Blizzard softcoded the column and then didn't enable it :C

EDIT • I don't know about "add" and "multiply" columns, I thought these had nothing to do with gamble ? :?:

Only rings and amulets use the gamble cost columns, so they have a fixed price. The other item types use a formula based on character level, but I don't know where it's located or if it's editable without code editing.

Well from what I've read on PK it needs to be edited by code. I'm sure Marco or whist can answer exactly though.

The gamble columns are only used by rings and amulets. There is no softcoded way to modify the prices, it varies by character level.

Yeah I know, but how did you guys managed to change the price?
You just swapped the base prices?
Because I tried to do that and they're still kinda bad/not ideal for what I want :C
