Hi, what should I do to keep my A5 merc alive in the labs? I've read somewhere that labs is all about elemental/physical (delete as appropriate), but can't remember which. He probably won't be very helpful, but I like to have him around...

Why would you ever want to use grotesque bite? It has no fire spell dmg or fire pierce, low skills, 3 sockets instead of 6 which is extremely important for ias, tu war hammer is just way superior.

1. Cap is still 75% minion resist from items.

2. Minion attack speed based on delay between attacks and not on animation speed so even auras/stances/buffs with IAS won't make them actually attack/cast more frequently (but it will affect their animaion abit).
3. There's no way to add regen in any ways except for sorc living flame regen have effect on sorc summons. Still you can use merc with heal (priestess or bloodmage)

What's the current state of Stormblast? Last time I used it was many years ago, I bet it was nerfed multiple times since then. It used to hit 44 or 40 times per attack I believe. How many times does it hit now? Is there next-hit-delay and if there is, how many times realistically can it hit?

How does it compare to Necromancer's Carnage for single target? Also, how many times does Carnage hit? :)
