D2Stats 3.11.1

Very noob question as I am terrible with things like this. I have the D2stats in my folder from February of 2019, so it has obviously worked before for me. This is the one I have been using since. But now, I can't seem to update it with the latest releases. I click on D2States-3.11.1.rar, but it just brings me to internet explorer and never actually saves or opens anything? I've also tried the source codes, but not sure how to do that either. Any help would be appreciated!

The only way I found to get it to work is to disable the core shields on Avast (left side Protection, then top row 2nd option), start up Median and D2 stats, then once it is up and running enable the core shields again.

My d2stats hasn't been working for 3 seasons for me, Im getting this error that a few seems to be getting:

Failed too many times in a row. Check logs for details. Closing d2stats...

My logs:
[UpdateDllHandles] Couldn't retrieve dll addresses. (error: 0; extended: 0)
[UpdateHandle] Couldn't update dll handles. (error: 0; extended: 0)

I tried pretty much everything that I could find. -> Uninstall vc_redistx86 and reinstall it, restart computer
-> add exception in windows 10 for d2stats
-> Not using an antivirus
-> Both programs are executed as admin

Not sure what to do at this point to get it fixed.

The solution for “Failed too many times...” is quoted below. I’ve checked both the downloadable .exe file and the compiled code, both work great.

IMO this fix should be mentioned in the FAQ / troubleshooting section.

Can we get a proper fix for this error yet? So many people can't use this program and also the recommended fix sigmalauncher doesn't allow me to keep up my D2 screen in full-screen window mode

From what I can see it seems that the error stems from having multiple versions of Diablo 2 installed/other mods/older versions -- I deleted all my other Diablo 2 installs/mods and re-installed fresh but for some reason its having issues with dlls still, is it looking in the wrong folder?

-- reinstalling Windows 10 did fix the issue for me however its not the greatest solution for most people

Thats so annoying, if i only start D2stats it works but if i start Medianxl after it instantly crashes and gives me Error Failed too many times in a row. Check logs for details.
Tried the troubleshoot with sigma loader but the sigma loader itself isn't working .... geez.

I have tried for weeks now to get D2Stats 3.11.1 to run. Can't figure it out.
The only thing I could get to run was Test.bat. But it won't work in the game.

anyone know how to get my sound notifiers working ? my d2stats will notify me of the items dropped via text in top left hand corner, but it doesn't make any sounds
