well , first of all Mortred has not been updated since the median xl Omega version (it still exists on the old forum , here it's blank for the moment) . maby i'll have some time for her well deserved updates this spring...

second... i have a strong feeling that you are playing it wrong .

if you release the proper Batstrike charge at the proper time it's all a breeze. are you using it just to summon bats ? if your answer is yes , then you have a big problem (or maby you're not using batstrike at all ? ) . Use the charm charge as often as you can and gain a larger army . (and get some minion gear -> more life and resistances)

you don't need to think about leech when you're not tanking at all (your army of bats and charmed monsters does that) . use your innate Bloodbath skill if the situation requires

add barrier strike to that , and you're almost invincible

i strongly recommend you try using those batstrikes charges as main attacks , always keep charmed monsters arround and full summoned bats . Barrier strike as a support skill (forget about noctule , that's for a different build - not every dual claw build = mortred)

and one more thing : you can blink on top of a target along with your army for more destruction :)

good luck !

using the dual claw set now. batstrike occasionally. also, the set gives me tons of summons so theres no need to batstrike all the time. those bats are great tanks and dds tho. havent MOed since i just hit 110 and wanted to check out gear combinations. in any case, there is no feasible way to gain a comfortable amount of life with the set. since i dont have all the s/ss/sssu's it will be hard to come up with an optimal gear setup, i guess. what good is a toon that has a (albeit slight) chance to get onehit by white mobs? with around 5k life?

looking forward to your ideas, i just wanted to see if i can run this toon with my limited knowledge and experience. i must say, its fun. the (passive) damage output is very good, and it forces you to play rather tactical due to the squishiness.

alsoplustoo, i doubt there are right/wrong ways of playing if it works. i am pretty sure this toon will be very hard to play in a lot of ubers, compared to, for instance, melee nec which i think is really op. probably just my way of enjoying the game - once i have the gear, i like facerolling =)

well you said you was "running a mortred" so that's why i said you was playing it wrong , because it's not how Mortred works . doing the things i said above you won't have any problem in any uberquest(Fauztinville is a joke for what the build can do) . it used to be one of the best builds available and i am 100% sure it still is . (even with crap gear)

having those bastrike charges as main attacks (bats/charm/) + bloodbath for max block and leech + an army to take the hits +tons of avoid (PB) + barrier strike for a safe perimeter + shadow reffuge , will keep you safe in any spot , no matter how much hp you got - you should never get hit by doing this !

i agree it is tactical , you need fast fingers to keep switching between normal attack to release batstrike charges , bloodbath , barrier strike , blink .. it's not as simple as a melee necro where you only press 2 buttons and you're done

i ment no offence , but you are obviously playing a different dual claw build that's not Mortred - not every dual claw = Mortred (the 2011 build may be found here http://www.medianxl.com/t500-2012-compi ... chucknoris at number 24 - aahz saved it from the old Laz forum ) . i'll spend some time to update it to Ultimative XVI as soon as i can.

good luck with yourse !

Hello.

I'm playing Queen of Pain now, act 1 terror so far (my first time to reach terror as well), and I wonder why there are no resistance bonuses from the recommended equips. I had to use honorific gloves to get max res, and on terror I have 75/40/40/40 now when using them. How would it be possible to survive with Kali RW instead? (negative resistances)

Also, using Wraithsword all the time is impossible; it eats mana like crazy. Bladestorm seems so much better (lv 1 though) and doesn't eat mana as fast. Is it how it is supposed to be?

Okay, I actually missed this moment. I admit, you're right about gems and runes. :)
