Remember every jewel, amulet, ring, any item really, can be upgraded to rare. Rune + magic item + oil of enhancement. This is especially helpful early game when getting your first pieces of jewelry, making your first runewords, or if you use a quiver.

Rereading the cube recipe section of the docs a few times when starting up makes the game so much easier in general. You can pretty much turn anything into something useful. Hell, I had a honorific Wirt's leg as my first real 'scepter' on my sp unholy caster, lol.

upgrade your gear and resistances as quick as you can . aim to have full t6 gear at level 54-60 and get above 75% to all resistaces (max resist is 95%) by socketing some perfect gems . get a

once you reached terror , get some sacred items ASAP and continue to update your gear to stronger runewords and crafts

by the time you reach destruction aim to have full sacred gear parts : crafts and level 100 runewords

if you can't kill The Smith fast enough , don't bother to do it , just take the malus and run :D

Btw MOing after creating runeword will make you some more freedom in rerolling MOs while re-MOing great double MO scythe will force you to fully reroll it til you get double MO again.
