reach the cap of 350% ED for each item . after that mo with -% enemy resists to increase the damage you deal with procs/elemental damage to weapon from gear/ the fire conversion of fairy ring .

I'm thinking about trying a mortred build, but i have doubts about the survivability of the summons in mid-high ubers

with the gear you recommend for the mid game, how do the bats and elementals fare in places like duncraig? without considering barrel deaths, obviously :)

another question: i've been trying the kwentrith build, and it seems very slow at the beginning. when would you say it begins to shine? when limpet laser is lv 10 and gets a second beam?

with the
Laz's Chasuble
+ socketing jewels with minion life it's won't be hard to go over 50k hp bats (you can go over 100k in end game) . they innerhit the avoid from perfect being + the 25% DR aura from the ice elementals . they are more than viable even with the mid game gear . What doubts would you have at over 50k hp , 25%DR and over 50% avoid for each of them ? (50% chance to avoid stuff , including Duncraig barrels ;) ) they are the strongest summons in this game imho

+ don't forget to use the Charm from Batstrike to increase your army in every spot where your opponents are getting serious : you charm a few , kill the others that are not charmed , when charm goes off kill the first ones that got charmed .

as for the limpe laser , yes , it gets better and better with more limpets 10/20/30 points into the skill . Using Psionic storm as a main attack in early game is a better way to level untill you get more skillpoints into Limpet Laser , this if you can spend a lot of points into energy and equip gear with low requirements . Socket some -%requirements jewels if needed so you waste less points into strength

i see, i was playing it wrong... i'll try again with that in mind, thx

about the bats, i remember using them in a past patch and being forced to resummon them every time (that's not too much of a trouble as the summoning is also the main attack, of course), as they died like flies but the PB was bugged and did not affect them right? i guess they should tank a lot better now :)

i haven't used them since the Omega patch , the last time i've updated Mortred before XVI . They were great back then , they are even better now - they were capped at 10 familiars , now you get 1 familiar/point into batstrike -> 3x larger army :shock: . I have no knowledge of what happened with them between MXL Omega and Ultimative XVI , because i didn't play this build for a few years .
