I've been running Kurast to get the hammer and my practice was to do a full clear when possible, so far getting SU from Kurast like 1 per every 3 run, but really i don't seemed to be getting set items from Kurast, Act4 river of flames and antechamber tends to have better Set drop rate compared to Kurast.

I think that Marcos fundamental ideas about game balance i.e. Using crafts and rws and adapting is spot on. Also the fact that trading inherently makes item availability greater. That being said the reality is that this is a pretty niche gaming community and even more niche on realm. I think su and set drop rates really should be balanced against the size of the community. I think the current state of drop balance would be generous perhaps even far too high if we had 2x the number of people on realm but the reality is that number is pretty tiny. How many games are going on at any given time on tsw? 20, maybe 30? I can't check now but I remember it's fairly low.

Tldr: drop rates should be balanced against the size of the online community more than anything else

I still think there is big gap between easy uber and mid uber.

You either need:
1. Get great rune (but fauzt is hard, toraja is summoner biased)
2. Get a lot of elemental runes (i would say it is caster/summoner biased)
3. Get good craft (again, usually dropped alot in fauzt, but you dont have great gear)
4. Praying for SU that you need
5. Complete a set

Which is lead to you either grind endlessly or this problem of "need gear to farm, need farm for gear" thingy.

I think a early-mid solutions would nice like:
1. Single elemental runes RW - Power wise, should be lower than GR but about same like nih/rha or lvl 100 runes
2. Boss drop ingredient - as suggest before, basically destruction version of griswold special box. You can popularized this underused uber with this (iotss, khalimgrad, bremmtown,butcher etc)
3. Uber charm as ingredient - while you farming for perfect uber charms, meantime you can use them for crafting


Probably there are more ways to make it work, but at least I think this can fix problem of feeling "not getting good loot" problem.
I will lose patient if I played for 30 minute and didnt get single drop...

1. Skip it, ignore it. Toraja can easily be done with melee necro + endyrems.

3. Go for those overused popular rws. They don't require high runes and are easy to make. I can give you list, but you probably know them already.
4. TSW > trading for sigs. Everyone needs sigs. Farm griswold for box, box + oil = sigs. 20-30 sig gets you desired item. If no TSW = SP drops are much better, so no problem there either.

Yes, this gap is called crafting and re-running easier places for things you'd use in order to progress ( for example, terror cows/fauzt for shrines).
