Are summons still effectively "res capped" at 50% res in Hell, or can it go higher now b/c of the res penalty reduction?
(I know it's not technically a "res cap," but Idk what else to call it.)

I'm down to thinking nothing but potions will work for either of my characters, but before I give up on healing afix's I figure I'll pose the question here. I'm pretty sure with the caster druid there's nothing to do but potion on bosses, and 'on kill' for packs.
The one I'm not sure on is my assassin. I'm using the APF-20 Maelstrom and Singularity. It seems like something should work. But the way the things I'm finding read, absolutely nothing does. I'm sure I have to be reading something wrong somewhere....or at least I hope I am.
There is no question asked, but ill try to answer. Life leech works only with physical weapon damage. Singularity is a spell, and maelstrom has 90% of its weapon damage component converted to magic, so it basically does no physical damage to leech from. Life on attack works only with melee attacks, once per hit, and life on striking works with weapon attacks every time you hit an enemy, so it sounds good for builds that multihit a lot, like maelstrom, but sadly its values are just way too low to do anything.
Well that's incredibly discouraging. But thanks.
Off to level one I go, and try doing the least fun thing in ARPG's.....melee........ so I can have access to healing LOL.

If I just play the game and sorta build my character the way I want to and learn as I go, will I be strongly underpowered and unable to enjoy the later stages of Median XL? I usually have zero problem just following a step by step guide, but I've been having trouble finding one that really feels good to me.

It has gotten a little better but I'm still so so on it. I also looked into my second favorite, the Paladin, but I'm really not a fan of the "evil" form that most builds seem to focus on. It's not very Paladin. I know I need to think outside the box, but meh.

For example, how much damage can 1000 Energy bring?
