innate elemental damage only buffs the base elemental damage of your weapon.

For example:
Buriza-Do Tsuru
Buriza-Do Tsuru
Short Battle Bow (4)

Required Level: 5
Required Dexterity: 63
Item Level: 19
Innate Lightning Damage:
(16.0% of Dexterity)
10% Chance to cast level 10 Tempest on Kill
15% Attack Speed
Adds (9 to 11)-(13 to 14) Lightning Damage
Adds 4-5 Cold Damage
-(11 to 13)% to Enemy Lightning Resistance
Socketed (2)
Required Level: 24
Required Dexterity: 97
Item Level: 36
Innate Lightning Damage:
(24.0% of Dexterity)
12% Chance to cast level 20 Tempest on Kill
25% Attack Speed
Adds (31 to 33)-(41 to 43) Lightning Damage
Adds 13-15 Cold Damage
-(16 to 18)% to Enemy Lightning Resistance
Socketed (4)
Required Level: 42
Required Dexterity: 193
Item Level: 51
Innate Lightning Damage:
(32.0% of Dexterity)
14% Chance to cast level 30 Tempest on Kill
35% Attack Speed
Adds (101 to 110)-(136 to 150) Lightning Damage
Adds 50-60 Cold Damage
-(21 to 23)% to Enemy Lightning Resistance
Socketed (5)
Required Level: 52
Required Dexterity: 382
Item Level: 85
Innate Lightning Damage:
(40.0% of Dexterity)
16% Chance to cast level 40 Tempest on Kill
40% Attack Speed
Adds (241 to 250)-(336 to 350) Lightning Damage
Adds 100-120 Cold Damage
-(23 to 25)% to Enemy Lightning Resistance
Socketed (6)
has both cold and lightning damage. The lightning damage however is the base damage of the weapon instead of physical damage. So only this part will get buffed by ied. At least that's how I understand it. +lightning damage from skills won't get buffed by ied.

I never used elemental weapons myself... If it scales with dex/str, it will say so on the weapon ingame.

You are wrong, flat elemental damage on weapon is not innate elemental damage. For example,
Athulua's Wrath
Athulua's Wrath
Stag Bow (Sacred)

(Amazon Only)
Required Level: 100
Required Dexterity: 557
Item Level: 120
Innate Tri-Elemental Damage:
(52.0% of Dexterity)
3% Chance to cast level 63 Sun Strike on Striking
1% Chance to cast level 6 Life Spark on Striking
Adds 400-950 Fire Damage
Adds 400-950 Lightning Damage
Adds 400-950 Cold Damage
-33% to Enemy Elemental Resistances
Elemental Resists -33%
1% Reanimate as: Random Monster
Socketed (6)
read the item, and you will see.

Ah I see now. I didn't know ied only exists on sacred items.

Ah, ok. Thank you. So, if I understand, I need a sacred weapon with "innate damage". Other with it doesn't worth to stacker IED jewels, gems etc...

That I would like to know as well. But as said, leech seems useless, I tested a bit with 30% in blood moor and it didn't do shit (full physical build), so you have to stack it up high with jewels and such.

Leech depends on your dmg, so if you have garbage dmg with no optimization or anything, yeah it will be useless.

It were in pre-1.7 but as changelog says:
"Q: Do these changes mean my character got nerfed?
A: No, the killspeed of most builds will not be affected as monsters have had their HP values halved as well. Pure physical weapon damage builds (including damage conversion) will see a very small reduction in damage in the late endgame, to compensate for the fact that competing damage sources were never balanced around the bugged numbers. Life leech penalty was reduced accordingly."

Does BPR still have a UMO drop bias (or has that moved to another enemy/area)?

I wish. Seriously. PlugY was just the best and removing it was a major step back for Median.

Anyway, I've been leveling a sword barbarian through late Nightmare, and since the guide I'm using is obsolete, I've been wondering what gloves and boots I should be aiming for in the late game. Baron Sludge's Bonecrusher was removed, presumably for being too awesome, so what should I be aiming for instead? Furthermore, how helpful is the Shamanic Trance skill to a melee barb, and should I be investing more than one point into it?
