Tankiest character/build?

Hi! Very new here. I'm looking for the tankiest class or build. This way, I can learn how to play the game first, what monsters do what, etc.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

In Median survability comes somehow from killing speed , tankiness beeing almost imposible in most of uber areas.True there are some chars better tanks than other in order to survive agains strongest mobs/ some of bosses but those characters arent good for start or cannot bring u to farm even all basic charms. If u want my suggestion for some cool easy builds to play for start till u understand how things going try unholy caster paladin or poison sorc or even any kind of type of barbarian. Have fun and never give up... no matter how hard it can look .

I loved following SuchBalance's Storm Amazon build. I think as a newbie it will force you to learn mechanics and force you to learn what will kill you and what you can't kill.

or just go unholy melee primary blood thorns. Pump everything into vitality, use stormlord for rest of stats & just spam blood thorns on everything. Blessed life/terror strike/tainted blood for defense & damage reduction, aim for malthael set once able (amazing set), Cheese all bosses with sacred armor. also, 3 second teleport at lvl 90.


there, a newbie friendly tank/superpower/unstopable/cheese machine/ one click spam skill insane attack speed/cast speed. All problems resolved, there's your character. If luck out n get set early on, you become virtually unstoppable able to take out all heroics up to and including kabraxis. have fun >,,,,> <,,,< >,,> <,<

if you look for a tank, then you should play unholy pala (e.g. caster/melee):

use : ix rw helm with eagle stance
passive: 40% dr
close to 1000% tcd with tainted blood
>20k life which keeps you immortal even i areas like fauztinville

well , the best tank has over 20k hp , max block , 50%DR , more than 55% avoid , instant heal (full life bulb in 0.5 seconds) , way more than 1 million defence + a screenwinde stun (t-slam) . no other class can do better than the barbarian in terms of defence . you can find this build at number 26 in my compilation

What a bullshit. If you dont know what other characters can be a tank other than your (and others too) loved paladin than dont talk.
Seriously guys, it's just me or there is a "paladin/ww meta" since Stealth made his paladin guide and there are a few ww topics that are very popular.

FOTM, nothing new tbh.
At some point everyone was playing a skysiege druid, right now it's the paladin. School's almost over, so I'll show you the the throw barbarian is the best char in June (prob not can't really play; Life's hard)
