Arcane Torrent is not viable because:

2) it does not pierce through enemies

Yes, though uhm and melee sorc gameplay may look kinda similar, they use different sources of damage to kill enemies, so you have to roll either Balefire or Miasma proc. Going full energy is tricky, you won't get a significant boost to your damage unless you craft all jewels with 10-15 EF. On the other hand you're losing lots of hp and having this when your char gains 3 hp per 1 stat point into vitality is a total waste.

Don't forget that we are not using any minions and only a few reanimates in Fauzt, Dunc, Unformed Land. In order not to get yourself killed we need two things:
1) a strong spell to deal with fire immunities (Neon Fiends slow you down on hit, if you get slowed and scattered away from enemies you will die) - Miasma greatly reduces enemies' speed and deals lots of poison damage per second as it benefits from your total %SD; Balefire has great AoE and it is capable to one-shot most uberlevel monsters (thanks, Superbeast) if you're using it right (with Hymn).
2) Hymn is very powerful but you need a monster to hit, thus if you are standing still with full hp with all enemies away from you, you will die from their missiles; if you're standing close to a pack of mobs with a little hp, but is capable to hit them, you won't die, as Hymn allows you to gain full hp orb in a second.


Hey bro, thanks for taking time to reply, i think i get you there, 50% balefire proc also means that it's almost always up, i totally missed out the point of superbeast+balefire synergy, guess i'll continue to farm some shrine to continue crafting, i'm a lil OCD for stats.

What should I MO this ring with other than +fire damage? I have over 100 fire pierce on other gear.

Noticed something about MO'ing armors, you often say to cube them with 15 +15% ED orbs, but for example, a T6 Dragon's Blood rolls with +241-280% ED. You only need to reach 350 ED, right?

ED% is capped at 350% (don't mind the rw)

That's because I have never bothered cubing TU armor gear with %ED orbs because 1) you will disenchant them anyway; 2) Hatred and Terror are overall easy difficulties. The purpose was to write it down so people won't ask 'what MO's should I cube' thst's why I didn't even notice that I suggested 15 %ED MOs for cubing.

Nevertheless thank you both, I've already edited the text :wink:

correct me if i am wrong:

59% fire spell dmg means:

5% from spell dmg suffix
29% from fire spell dmg suffix
10% lucky upgrade
15% Mystic orbs

is that correct?

Has anyone ever rolled that max spell dmg of a ring? (45% +15% Mos + 10% lucky = 70%)

t4v posted a SS where he rolled (or bought) 60+ or smth to Lightning spell damage ring, but he is banned and all his posts seem to be deleted from the forum cause he's a cheater.

correct - spell dmg and f/l/c/p spell dmg have the same group so they should not spawn at the same time, i completely forgot the blessed luck upgrade.

Man this ring is really insane then, 59% of 60% max and -20% enemy fire on top Gz!
