It was a kind of "gift" for last MXL 1.X patch.

But they do exsit in beta. So u mean they keep them in beta for months until now, and then suddenly remove them in 2.0?

Maybe that's to speed up testing, kinda like on the beta server of Diablo 3 you get improved drop rates and an extra item vendor so that you don't have to spend as much time farming for the updated items as you normally would, you just get them really fast and actually spend time testing them.

It makes sense and I do hope so. For speeding up testing, they could just increase the drop rate. There is no need to keep Gobs to speed up. But they did. Thats why I guess they would keep Gobs stay in 2.0.

Everything comes full circle eventually. Example: Barb too weak. Imorove skills. Barb overpowered, nerf barb. Etc . There is no perfect state of being, everything is in flux . As a matter of fact, this was discussed previously by Laz the irony that once a game reaches its perfect state and everything is balanced, people stop playing it, but so long as there remains problems in the game to fix, it retains a fan base. Strange but true.

Re the actual changes, I will reserve judgement until I've played 2.0. I have my concerns of course, but no judgement from me, not yet anyway.

In general i have the feeling that changes like bringing back frozen orb or summoner skeletons/golem, ect. are tries to expand player base with people who feel nostalgia to classic diablo. And for them median used to be sooo hard and difficult to play. Now the learning curve is flatened, classic stuff is slowly creeping in - expect profit.

If that's true, I really doubt that this can actually work with D2R on the horizon grabbing all the nostalgia players attention.

Actually Frozen Orb should be back, but remake it and rename to ''Burning Orb'' and replace Pyroblast, the most useless Sorc spell in MXL.

Exactly, Pyroblast is kinda stupid and useless for sorc, just like Resurrest for pal. But Pyroblast can be useful for fire totem nec as an Oskill.

At first this looked ok but now it just looks plain stupid, 1 oil of renewal per base item? so instead of wasting 30 minutes rolling for a good item we have to spend weeks farming for something we may never get? And before you go on with you don't need god items to have fun yeah that was true when all builds were viable but you guys keep nerfing everything into the ground that's why there are a bajillion totemnecs and fire sorc's running around cause there arent that many viable builds anymore. Before when i used to say Sigma was the D3 of median mods i meant it as an insult but you guys are seriously trying to make this D3 arent you? Did activision put you on the pay roll to kill of median so they dont have anymore competition?
