Hello guys, quick question for the wormhole charm : Is it worth going for med/big strength ones as we have a lot of % attributes anyway, or is it better to fill it with the small ones?

Thanks!

runes are in a worse-to-best order, not best to worse.
PizzaGater wrote:what is the difference from area effect damage from warmonger and the splash damage synergy from the skill ?

gale force is a 100% on atk proc that deals 0.8 wdm as physical dmg

AoE is a 100% on atk proc that deals 0.5 wdm as magical dmg at 4 ND (the value in the docs says 1.0 wdm but its outdated)

melee devo doesnt exist on d2stats.

Allright, I just did my first undergeared scosglen clear.
It seemed impossible when I first entered, but it's actually a lot safer than dunc or fauzt.
The trick is to ignore the big trees and elemantals and pull everything in your wake untill you find a safe spot about a screen away from them.
Quite easy to do, because the elementals don't follow you and the trees are slow af.

Be careful once you got about a dozen of spriggans running after you, but you can still manage them by not whirling over the fire too much.
By this time there are also about 50-100 archers coming after you which makes cleaning them up actually easy because they're all bunched up.

I'm not sure yet how to deal with the big trees, probably more damage, but the uncurable poison is a killer.
Same with the elementals, more damage would probably do the trick, but they still instakill me with the cold breath.

I'm only at 8-17k ww damage and 20k AR, It's not safe enough to buff bloodlust, probably best to switch to shamanka for now, but haven't found one yet :P.

Heres a screenshot of the haul minus all rare rings/amus, tons of runes and SU's so definitely worth doing, even if you're going a bit slow.
I even got a fitting scosglen bow,a sigil of tur dulra ring and the hand of the druid gloves for a nice druid theme :P.

Wulf wrote:WW frames per atk (fpa) are calculated by taking your weapon’s Attack Speed Modifier (found here) and subtracting it to its Weapon Attack Speed (in other words, wsm – wias). The resulting number needs to reach a specific value to hit a breakpoint. Those are the values you need to reach:

Image

Simple examples on how the calculation works

Image
Example 1: Labrys (2h barb axe) has a base speed of +25, and you need to reach -60 for 4 fpa. This means you need to have at least 85 atk speed on your weapon to reach the cap (+25–85 = -60).

I read this like 100 times but not sure how many Guls/IAS MO's the Yaggal requires for 4fpa due to the image differences. Do uniques have the attack speed modifier built in as well or no? The image of Yaggal has no "Attack Speed Modifier: 25" like the white sacred Labrys image. No range shown either.

If uniques have the attack speed modifier built in, then only 1 IAS MO needed to 4fpa the Yaggal (85-(50+25) = 10 ias needed)
If uniques do not have the attack speed modifier built in, then 2 Gul's and 1 IAS MO needed to 4fpa the Yaggal (85-50 = 35 ias needed)

Also, is it worth to use 1 ED% MO for 9% ed on the Yaggal? I think it is, but wanted to get a second opinion.

the way you are looking at the calculations is incorrect. the best way to look at it is that you need 60 increased attack speed (for 2-hand weapons like the labrys, otherwise 34 for 1-hand weapons like short swords or war swords). you then have to add the attack speed modifier of the weapon you want to use (in the case of the labrys, this is 25). basically, attack speed modifier is bad. it slows your attack speed, which means you need even more (the number listed) to reach the -60 attack speed for 4fpa attacks.

so, in this example, it is 60+25=85.

the Yaggai has +50%. you need to add another 35% to reach 85.

if, as another example, you wanted to use the Hephasto's Reaver Battle axe sacred unique, this has a +15 attack speed modifier for battle axes, meaning you need to reach 75 increased attack speed. however, it has NO attack speed affix, which means you need to add the full 75 attack speed through runes/MO's.

I hope this helps to clarify.

as a further clarification, the unique item descriptions don't show the base item weapon speed modifier, and not all weapons have one listed. I believe the ones without anything listed are simply 0 (such as the 1-handed axes except for 'hand axe', which is actually a negative number, -10, which means you only need 24 IAS on affixes to get 4 fpa attacks).

actually, you did ask about gale force. gale force IS, as you put it, "the splash damage synergy from the skill".

As Wulf explained when he answered my question on the same thing, they are separate, and they stack. So when you attack with whirlwind, it hits surrounding mobs once with gale force, then a second time with the orange AoE item modifier.

WW still isn't it, imo. Idk if it was this clunky in LoD. It's like I really have to work for my kills with WW.
Dedicating a huge chunk of skill points to this clunky skill isn't worth it.

Ended up re-speccing to the TLDR build. That was way better, especially since there's a lot more skill points to spread around.
