Muilpeer wrote:Liking this build so far, almost lvl 100 now, got a lot of gear ready for later on. Have a unique ammy which spams singularity on melee attack, no clue if it's good, but it seems to help.
I'm just wondering if it would be a good idea to make crafts with hammerhead axes, I have two rare ones and have a few shrines left. The Dao swords seem to hold up pretty well though as well. Marchosias armor is in my inv, but I need more str.
I can farm some basic charms with my totem necromancer, and I want to start farming with the WW in other places the totemmancer might not work that well. Tmancer is a bit slower that WW as far as I can see right now.
Since I'm very unlucky with sets and uniques dropping, I was looking for more info on crafts, but I see there isn't that much, seems there's more focus on runewords. So I hope the hammerhead axes I'm having can also be used to craft Dao upgrades?
you dont want to make crafts out of 1h weaps, because the max dmg roll can only get up to 240. for 2h weaps (great swords), you can get up to 310 max dmg. hammerhead has slightly better base dmg, but great sword has better str scaling (0.16 vs 0.14), so in the end, GS always ends up being the best choice.
Kerchaak wrote:Thought's on Savage RW versus Mercy?
no idea, i never tried savage caus its a harder rw to make. but im guessing both compare. merci is probably better because of bigger dmg, but the ewd and dex can probably make up for it. ill test both when my new barb gets there

the key is to not use WW. I did it using Erawan body armor and 2 Anak runewords that guide suggests.
you just use Shower of rocks and stay close. Chug potions when you need to.
Is this build capable of doing labs? Do I get rid of Lion stance and do I ditch runemasters to get +max res from gems?
no idea, never got there myself. because i play ssf, i tend not to push builds too far into the lategame, otherwise itll take me months of farming to get strong gear. i ususally reach and kill laz, then stop, leaving samael, deimoss, high labs behind.
Ankee wrote:Hey there! Complete beginner here, but really enjoying this build.
I do have a question though: I just got to a3 nightmare and want to keep upgrading my weapons (only one of them is fully Eld'd), what would be the best place to farm some 6 Elds, since we can no longer downgrade runes?
its normal not to have 12 eld's. i used the elds i found and left the other sockets empty until i upgraded to anak weapons. progression is very fast in 1-105, not worth grinding for low runes to get just 5 max dmg.
whitewolf wrote:Wulf bro where u get the ww attack speed caculated. As far as i know weapon speed modifier does not work like this :taking your weapon’s Attack Speed Modifier (found here) and subtracting it to its Weapon Attack Speed (in other words, wsm – wias). The resulting number needs to reach a specific value to hit a breakpoint . i took a look into document and no source about Whirlwind breakpoint. And attack speed caculator on the forum tell different thing. Example Claymore and Greatsword have WSM in oder 5 and 15 but have seperated breakpoint, its not like they have a 10 ias difference. I know WW does not apply others IAS source outside weapon and speed caculator from the forum made for normal attack speed but i dont find any document for WW isa breakpoint (perhaps some others special attack too).
ww fpa is calculated differently than other atks. it is exactly the same as base game, lord of destruction. if you want more details, check this link out:
https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Whirlwindhttps://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Whirlwind_(Diablo_II)
some of the things were changed (for instance, "on atk procs" work in mxl, but otherwise its mostly the same)

I wonder as well how eq compares beyond 125lvl.
Currently going with EQ/SoR setup and have some
leftover skills at hand, the rest of the template applies. I've been looking for suggestions on what to invest in potentially would be the best way.
Also, Wulf, will you update the guide soon for the endgame?
i got back from my 10-day trip yesterday

i restarted playing and my sp barb is now lvl 110. videos for lvl 105-115 ubers should come in within the next few days. lvl 120-130 however will probably take 1-4 weeks because some grind and guide-writing is necessary.

but im back and working on it ♥

It's a pretty great farmer, but not being able to complete most runs without backup town portals is getting a bit annoying

.
I'm guessing it's mostly the issue of not enough life.
you can favor weaps that give tankiness, like
Gharaniq
Gharaniq
Barbarian Swords, Barbarian One-Handed Axes
Except Barbarian Two-Ha
'JahSilElq'
Runeword Level: 100
+(3 to 4) to Barbarian Skill Levels
Adds 5-10 Damage
Adds 120-115 Damage
+(171 to 200)% Enhanced Damage
Weapon Physical Damage +(60 to 80)%
+(81 to 100) to Strength
+(225 to 250) to Dexterity
5% Chance to Avoid Damage
(+10 avoid when dual wielding). another thing i found helped surviability tremendously is having very high ar. when your chance-to-hit goes down,, life-on-atk doesnt proc as much so your sustain is severly diminished. 2 gharas gives insane tankiness you wouldnt believe. beyond that, use leap as an iframe when things get spicy. you can also squeeze in max res in your gear through some items like
Rebel
Rebel
Body Armors
'ZolSilSilLo'
Runeword Level: 100
15% Combat Speeds
Adds 6-10 Damage
Weapon Physical Damage +(80 to 100)%
+(172 to 200)% Enhanced Defense
+(151 to 200) to Strength
+(151 to 200) to Dexterity
-75 to Vitality
-75 to Energy
+60 to Mana
Maximum Elemental Resists +1%
Elemental Resists +(40 to 50)%
. you can also refine charms to give you high all attr (vit).

I [lvl 135 ww] recently farmed scosglen with an EQ barb [lvl 142]. He was capable of clearing better (including saplings), but the reason for that is because he is able to weave in SOR with EQ and has higher max res. I think WW can achieve this too but your going to need like 5k+ str and 83+max res. Also having truce belt to prevent archers from kiting is also benefitial.
truce belt in scosglen is a cool idea. ill try it out when sp barb gets there. i always didnt like "stun target" because it made stragglers lag behind, not chasing you. but maybe for scos its a good idea. ty for the comment ♥
and yes i do agree with you that overall, eq barb has bigger defensive stats. however it has lower sustain for bossing (it relies on life leech, which doesnt work vs bosses).
