How can I figure out what an item's alvl is in realm? Also, is there a correlation between ilvl and alvl?

P.S. what happened to the forum wide search function? It seems to have been replaced by "08.07 - LADDER HAS BEEN RESET!"

is that my sin's inventory and cube? how many should i remove and carry cuz my survivability is crap in dest tran athulua and i need more than my belt's supply of life pots and i also carry greater greed pots.

What would be a good strategy for a melee build against:
- the purple Nightmare curse inflicted by the Hellcats in Arcane Sanctuary? I can't heal even with spells (Inner Fire).
- the Fireblood invisible monster in act IV?

Nightmare can be negated by Life Leech/Life after Kill/LoS(iM).

Fireblood can be either left alone or killed with auto-targetting spells. Or you can get rid of the corpses using RIP modifier.

If you're a melee barb, Fortress + Snake Stance is your best combo in this situation.

Yes, equipment + inventory + cube + mecenary's equipment (dead still counts) + current stash page.

alvl= area level. Finding the specific level of an area would require more digging but marco posted about it a while ago. http://www.medianxl.com/t5369-players-x-question#130856

ilvl is equal to the level of the monster that drops the item. You can find the search function at the top left of page in [Quick Links]

The post looks like the expected levels your character is supposed to be at a certain point in game play :scratch:

, unless Marco made it so that those expected levels are also the alvl.
