Access Violation (c0000005) Error, Please help!
Hi good ppl, I have quite an issue with my game and I can't find the solution :/ I'm getting an "unhandled exeption: access violation (c0000005)" error so often that the game is unplayable. Mostly it occurs while i try to open skills tab, minimap, or any other GUI tab. Rarely it occurs while actually playing. I tried to reinstall the game couple times I even reinstalled my system and installed the game and the problem persists. I looked online for solution and found that i should change some settings in game.exe file and diablo II.exe, tried that but no change... I will add that in the past i had no such a problem. its started around 2 months ago after last instaled new Median XL patch Help plz
for reinstall, you can also try this added to the steps
1) uninstall the game
2) install a programm called everything and type there in the upper left for search : median
2.1 press enter
2.2 delete all folders that you find, that are corosponding with the mod
3) make sure to delete the stuff before reinstall
and the idea of install on an seperate place outside of the main c: can be good too
4) usually you can have an vanilla clean d2 on c:
for d2 application mods -> copy the vanilla d2 folder to another place for example on d:diablo2/mod-folder/median-xl
where you can install the median launcher then
