It's not just damage. Mercs regenerate life based on their primary stat.

Getting that last 15% physical resist will also help reduce damage by 1/4 of what he's currently taking.

I was hoping to start from scratch in single player — not sure what kind of character to make. I’ve played a melee necromancer in prior versions but curious about Vesseldin, Naginata assassin, and Batstrike Clawsin. Which one of those would be easier to gear up and not too difficult as a solo self found player? I’d like to try to reach level 130 at least, completing all the Uber events up to that point. I’ve never made it there before.

Hunters Mark, Spirit Guide and Primordial Hunt affects only dmg made by the barb himself or also by his summons?

Hunter's Mark/Primordial Hunt affect any incoming damage made to the debuffed enemy as long as the damage type is correct, they are just negative flat damage reduction modifiers. There aren't many situations where pumping these outweigh putting the points elsewhere though. Hunter's Mark and Primordial Hunt favor low dmg high multihit/attack rate type attacks, which Barb doesn't really have anymore innately post 2.0

Spirit Guide should work on any party members including summons but the radius is very low which makes it kind of finicky.

How much minion resist is required to keep Veil King alive in T9+ labs, 175?

Any tips on killing Mbwiru Eikura boss? Does he take Purify? I can't f-n hit him for anything!!!

And I've asked this 1000x, I cannot kill Valthic... I just can't figure out his mechanics.... I swear to god I hit him with that f'ing bolt and he almost never takes damage, and I have a VIT build and can take some hits, but that mother f'er, I just can't figure him out...

Kill nests, they provide the boss with an immunity aura. It's about 300k single target DPS just to keep up with their spawn rate, more to actually hit the boss in between spawns. That's about all it comes down to.

Walking in circles dodges most of his damage. I have heard that baiting him to jump on you makes the holy bolt easier to land but I don't know if I believe it.

Baiting is safe but slow method of doing this, after Valthek teleports on your location you get about a second to aim, shoot at him and gtfo
