How does +x% Bonus to Poison Skill Duration work with druid's Plague avatar?

I equiped an item giving 250%. What i noticed:
-It boosted my dps from like 30K to 200K . I don't know how reliable this is...
-In the skill description, skill duration increased from 0.8 to 3sec
-But if i cast plague avatar, in both cases it looks like 3sec and than it disappears.

So this duration is not the avatar's duration but the poison damage's duration when the skill "hit"s monsters? Tho as i saw plague avatar hits multiple times..

Also, Is it worth use items with this mod, or i should just get +alls and poison spell dmg?

yes it's the poison duration on hit enemies, not the avatar duration

if you spam poison spells it's pretty useless, but it can be useful for example for procs

The first frame of a poison spell's damage is applied instantly (that's why when you are trying to proc on kill with poison spells you have to kill targets in >1 frame.

It's quite noticeable on something that hits a lot like lorenado - when the tornados connect with an already poisoned target their life spikes down significantly.

can you explain how poison length duration boosts the dps if you're spamming? why would it affect first frame damage?

So if your damage was 100 over 1 second, the first frame hit would deal 4 damage instantly to an already poisoned target. If you had 100% psn length duraiton it would deal 8 dmg to an already poisoned target.

this part makes no sense to me, poison length duration only affect the total damage not the dps so why would the first frame damage change?

Use summons /reanims as meat Shields.. And kill... No trick to it

It's quite easy to kill with Ecstatic Frenzy mod on. Much harder to survive if you are trying to do this in close range, tho.

Nvm I was confused. 100/25 = 200/50 obviously.
